Summer Happenings: Tales from Provence

Happy Summer! There is something so glorious about this time of year. It’s the season of travel, outdoor adventures and abundant fresh produce. You almost don’t want it to end! This summer, I traveled back to Grasse, France, the world capital of perfume. I always feel at home in Provence and love reconnecting with its renowned perfumery community.

During my trip, I toured a leading natural fragrance producer and watched the distillation process unfold. I touched and smelled pink peppercorns, patchouli and dried seaweed in their pure form; it was eye-opening to see how fragrances are derived from these unusual natural ingredients. I worked side-by-side in the lab with a master perfumer (a “nose”) formulating fragrances and learning about the latest scent trends in Europe. You’re in for a real treat this Fall with the debut of our newest fragrance creations.

We’re one year in, and there’s no slowing us down. In August, we will release our latest home fragrance product as well as expand the eco reed diffuser line. I’m excited to bring new products and innovations to market and look forward to sharing these with our loyal fans soon.
